Books & Authors through FEL

For those of you that are looking for a great reader’s advisory database, I can honestly say that our FEL database “Books and Authors” is actually very decent. A direct link is available from our “View all databases” menu under the “Research” tab. I recently posted a blog about this.


My all time favorite search experiment is for Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book. Once you have found and selected the title, you can see a list of other recommended titles below.  Try it out and let me know if you have any questions.

My Gale Virtual Reference Library - Public/K12 Webinar summary, 5/27/10, (1-hour)

My Highlights:
* Digital Reference Books - Reference book titles are available electronically either text, pdf or mp3 (audiobook) versions
* Languages - Language translation feature is available via machine translation for the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish  
* Definitions - Highlight any words throughout the text articles, select "Dictionary" and it will bring up Webster's definition of the selected word.
* Bookmarks - available as urls for links to specific article (authentication is required for access, however)
